About OCSA
The vision and mission of the Ottawa Clinical Simulation Association
Our Story
OCSA was founded in 2024 by three passionate first-year undergraduate students at the University of Ottawa, who recognized the lack of opportunities for francophone high school students to gain hands-on experience in the medical field.
Since its creation, OCSA has built a dynamic team that is currently planning the very first MedSci 2025-2026 competition. Along the way, we have been fortunate to communicate and collaborate with many fantastic people who have helped our project grow. We have also established partnerships with various organizations and businesses that share our vision and actively support our initiative.
This competition aims not only to offer a rewarding experience for students, but also to increase interest and participation among francophone students in university programs related to the health sciences.

Our Vision
We envision a future where the francophone population in Ottawa has a diverse range of talents working in health care to serve their communities. We want to make a difference for francophones in the region by working toward a better future.
We strongly believe that early exposure to the realities of medicine, combined with quality mentorship, can transform the educational and professional trajectory of young people. Our goal is to create a strong bridge between secondary education and medical studies.
Our Goals 2025-2026
- • Welcome 60 participants to the competition
- • Observe and encourage student success and growth.
- • Build partnerships with new institutions
- • Develop and enrich our online platform.
